Recycled Asphalt
Recycled asphalt driveways are our specialty, built from crushed and screened asphalt millings. We lay them with a paving machine and pack them in with a vibratory roller.

Brunswick sits on a peninsula between the Turtle and East Rivers and the Brunswick River. About a third of the city's area is water, and the Marshes of Glynn ring the high ground. On an unusually high tide, the National Weather Service says water comes up through storm drains into Lanier Boulevard. For an asphalt paving contractor in Brunswick, the first question on any drive is where the water goes.
All State Trucking, Paving and Construction works out of Waycross, about 60 road miles west, mostly on US-82. Brunswick is part of our service area, along with the Glynn County mainland around it. Our specialty is crushed recycled asphalt, and we pave hot mix drives and small lots too. To set up a free estimate, call or text (912) 239-0212.

In town, NRCS soil maps show most of the dry ground as Mandarin fine sand, much of it built over. Its drainage rating is somewhat poor, so water leaves it slowly and it stays wet just below the top. A post hole dug in the wet season can hit water about 30 inches down. Past the high ground, the maps turn to tidal marsh soils that sea water floods twice a day.
Around Dock Junction and Country Club Estates, Mandarin fine sand is the most common soil on dry ground. At its highest, the water table there sits about 2 feet down. Out toward Sterling, the most common soil is Sapelo fine sand. Its water table can come up within about a foot of the top.
NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals put Brunswick at about 50 inches of rain a year, 18 of them in summer. September through November adds close to 13 more. So a drive here starts with grading and crowning, which tips rain off both edges.
Brunswick was laid out in 1771 as a grid of streets broken up by parks and squares. Streets like Gloucester and Newcastle still carry names from that colonial plan. The Old Town neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in April 1979.
The houses are old too. Half the homes in the city were built before 1960, by Census estimates. About one in five went up before 1940, and only about 2 percent in 2010 or later.
Renters live in more than half of the city's occupied homes, by the same estimates. That leaves many in-town drives to landlords, and we work for property managers too. If an old drive still has a firm base under it, a layer of millings can cover the worn top. For a smooth black finish, we also do asphalt driveway paving with hot mix.
Brunswick, the mainland gateway to the Golden Isles, is the only incorporated city in Glynn County. Dock Junction and Country Club Estates sit just north of the city line. Each counted more than 8,000 people in the 2020 Census. Most people with a Brunswick mailing address live outside the city limits.
Homes out there are mostly newer than in town. In Country Club Estates, about two in three went up from 1970 through 1999, by Census estimates. In Dock Junction, about one home in five is a mobile home. A recycled asphalt parking pad gives a car a firm spot off a soft, sandy yard.
The county keeps building. Census Bureau permit data count 448 new single-family homes in Glynn County in 2025, and 661 in 2022. On a new lot, our trucks can deliver crusher run for a gravel drive and spread it. A long drive off a county road gets a base built up in layers, then millings or chip seal.
Inside the city, the Planning, Development and Codes Department at City Hall handles building permits. Its permit FAQ lists driveways up to 30 inches above the ground beside them as exempt, within a few limits. The city also takes right-of-way permit applications online. Ask there whether the apron where your drive meets the street needs one.
Outside the city limits, Glynn County's rules apply. Glynn County Public Works handles right-of-way permitting along county roads. Its Roads and Drainage Division grades the county's dirt roads and repairs washouts. County building permits go through Glynn County's online permit portal.
Glynn Avenue carries US-17 through town, and Newcastle Street carries US-341. A new or wider drive onto one of those state routes needs a permit from GDOT's District 5 first. Under state law, machine grading is digging: a Georgia 811 ticket goes in, and utilities mark their lines. We point you to the office that answers for your lot.
